I wanted to just write a short note here about the language used on The Awakened Parent. This is not a religious blog, but I do write using words that have a spiritual tone to them – soul, spirit, divine, for example.

It is perfectly possible to swap a word in a sentence for something that makes sense to you where you are. So ‘listen to your soul’ can mean ‘listen to your inner wisdom’ or ‘listen to your intuition’ or ‘listen to God’ or ‘listen to the angels’.

I’m not going to tell you which one speaks to me the most – all I will say is that, regardless of my personal beliefs, this blog is aimed at all parents and is written with an open and enquiring heart.

If you don’t feel comfortable with the words I use, just swap them in your head for something you prefer :)
