The best parenting and breastfeeding blog posts from the week, hand-picked by me, not an automatic Twitter bot.

Breastfeeding

This week, from 31 October – 6 November, it is International Nestle Free Week. Kelly Naturally has a really helpful explanation of the long-standing Nestle boycott, and the impact of everyone having a Nestle-free Hallowe’en.  Here is a press-release from Baby Milk Action explaining the campaign. We’ve boycotted Nestle for years now, and I’m a bit surprised by myself that I haven’t got a Nestle Free Zone image on the Free Your Parenting blog! So I’m rectifying it now. If you want one, you can find them here, and you can also, if you want, add a Twibbon to your Twitter avatar from here.

Babies & toddlers

Double Helping Doulas has a review of one of my favourite parenting books, What Mothers Do by Naomi Stadlen.

2-8 year olds

The science behind how our children’s brains works was explained thoroughly and helpfully by The Twin Coach last Sunday.

8-12 year olds

I really loved this post about learning to love ourselves, something we mothers seem to be notoriously bad at doing! From Vibrant Wanderings.

Enjoy! I’m always on the look-out for inspiring links so please visit and ‘like’ our Facebook page and share any good links you find over next week.
